It has been a rough week for our beautiful country and our state. So a few things first:
My wonderful husband worked for West EMS and was a volunteer fireman in Penelope, TX (about 10 miles from West, TX) so what has happened since yesterday has had him on an emotional roller coaster. As I sat at work today praying for God to calm his spirit and give him peace, I decided to make one of his favorites to bring a smile to his face - Banana Pudding.
Now, my BFF recently told me about her really awesome banana pudding recipe. I messaged her today and she sent me her link on Pinterest (which I will happily provide to anyone who wants it!).
But here it is....try really, REALLY hard to not just eat the pudding before you finish.
Larissa's Super Duper Banana Pudding (yeah, I named it that!)
1 1/2 cups cold water
1 can Eagle Brand Sweetened Condensed Milk (NOT evaporated milk!)
1 package instant vanilla pudding
2 cups whipping cream
and of course EXTRA fresh whipped cream for the top!
In a large bowl mix the cold water and the sweetened condensed milk. Add the instant pudding and mix well. Chill for 15 minutes.
While the pudding mix is chilling, whip the cream.
Fold the whipped cream into the pudding.
Layer with vanilla wafers, fresh bananas, pudding and extra whipped cream.
And just because we have probably all had a heart wrenching week I will close with cuteness....
Hugs and kisses....
